Songs The Wolf Taught Us!

VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL!

International communication with Alan “Harley Wolf” Clark: Wild sounds at 45 rpm lashing out from their decks via Knif Files, his monthly cycle on Radiocore (also available on his mixcloud).

He tells us about his beginnings on the radio, and recommends records, movies and books brought directly from another dimension….

“I started Knif Files about 5 years ago. I had been collecting 45’s for over 10 years at that point and wanted to start sharing my collection with others. I had always wanted to a radioshow and had been listening to some amazing shows on mixcloud uploaded by Radiocore.org, I contacted them via Facebook and they agreed to let me do a show of my own.”

.

RECORDS:

“My own inspirations for collecting started with my fascination of Lux Interior of The Cramps. In paticular his one off radioshow “Radio Cramps: the Purple Knif show“, which is a recording of Lux playing some of his favorite records and novelties punctuated with his own intros and sound effects… this would be an album I definitely recommend buying!

And if you ask me for another favorite album, it would be “It´s Monster Surfing Time” by The Deadly Ones! (1964)

.

MOVIES:

I’d definitely recommend watching “Spider Baby” (1968)

You can see here.

.

BOOKS:

I choose two books: “Labyrinths: Selected Stories and Other Writings” by Jorge Luis Borges, and “The Shifting Realities of Philip K. Dick: Selected Literary and Philosophical Writings

Thanks Alan!! You can listen to all his files on his mixcloud, and for this occasion particularly Harley recommends the first episode:
